Description:
- Boat ramp built for Fox Valley Park District’s Spring Lake Park. The Coffer Dam displaced 3-1/2 feet of water at its end, to allow the construction for the boat ramp.

Piers at Hollywood Casino |
|
Description:
- The Piers support the floating building portion of Aurora’s Hollywood Casino. The piers are built to resist the constant flow of the turbulent Fox River.
- Caissons were augured 15 feet into the bedrock under the river. To construct the caissons, steel casing was lowered to the bedrock below the Fox River. The bedrock was augured out 15 feet before concrete was pored using a Tremi-Pour method.
- Concrete forming system was removed using five 2,000 pound marine floats
