Spring Lake Coffer Dam No. 1

• Boat ramp built for Fox Valley Park District’s Spring Lake Park. The Coffer Dam displaced 3-1/2 feet of water at its end, to allow the construction for the boat ramp.  

Spring Lake Coffer Dam No. 2

• Coffer Dam built for the construction of Spring Lake’s 1,200sf Fishing Pier. The Coffer Dam displaced 10 feet of water at its end to allow the construction of the piers.

Fox River Canoe Chute

• The Canoe Chute allows Canoeists to traverse the Fox River avoiding the Dams through downtown Aurora.

Piers at Hollywood Casino

• The Piers support the floating building portion of Aurora’s Hollywood Casino. The piers are built to resist the constant flow of the turbulent Fox River.
• Caissons were augured 15 feet into the bedrock under the river. To construct the caissons, steel casing was lowered to the bedrock below the Fox River. The bedrock was augured out 15 feet before concrete was pored using a Tremi-Pour method.
• Concrete forming system was removed using five 2,000 pound marine floats

Pedestrian Bridge over Fox River

• Links the Casino Parking lot to the gaming facility
  Drilling was set up to drill into the bedrock below the river
• The caissons constructed on the edge of the Fox River Dam.
